We’ve scoured the four corners of the globe to find the world’s best coffee, blended just the way we like it.

Most local suppliers serve mild coffee made from 100 percent arabica beans. Great for a traditional espresso, these blends lack the robustness to cut through the milkier coffee styles that ninety percent of Australian’s favour.

Our crusade didn’t end until we found a blend that made all coffee styles perfectly, just the way our customers like it. Café lattés, flat whites and cappuccinos had to be smooth and strong. And for those who crave a real coffee punch, our espressos, long blacks and macchiatos had to be robust and full-bodied.

The world’s best coffee

This tireless search for a blend made with Aussie coffee drinkers in mind lead us to MAP Coffee – an Australian company that roasts all its beans in Naples, Italy. Being Australian-owned, MAP understands better than anyone what Australian coffee lovers look for in the perfect cuppa.

Our commitment to giving true coffee connoisseurs the world’s best coffee has paid off. Those in the know now head to MYO where all our coffees are made using MAP Napoli, an Italian-style blend made from 70 percent arabica beans and 30 percent robusta beans. The robusta beans give Napoli a full-bodied, robust coffee taste that’s perfect for short blacks, and also strong enough to punch through milk-based styles.

Not only is it important to us to bring you the fullest-flavoured coffee, we also wanted to bring you the freshest. Once roasted, our coffee is packaged in one-way vacuum-sealed bags. Before being sealed, nitrogen gas is pumped into the bag preventing oxidisation of the beans’ natural oils. This ensures the coffee is free from the nasty acidic after taste, common in many imported blends. MAP is one of only two Italian importers of coffee that go to this extent to ensure freshness.

But what’s the point in having the world’s best coffee if you don’t have the world’s best baristas to brew it? At MYO we know that having great coffee is only half the challenge. Too often coffee is served burnt, stale, too milky, too hot, too cold, or tainted by unclean coffee machines.
